Gyrolith Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Gyrolith is a game by Amelix Solutions LLC ("we"), for iPhone (from the App Store) and Android (from Google Play). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play it. In short: we don't collect any. The optional services Apple and Google provide are run by them, under their own privacy policies; the two sections at the end describe them for each platform.

What we collect

Nothing. Gyrolith has no accounts and no sign-up. It has no ads, no analytics services and no tracking, and it doesn't send anything to us. We don't run any server for the game.

What stays on your device

To work, the game saves a few things on your device only:

Your phone's own backup can keep a copy of your progress, so it survives reinstalling (see "Progress backup" for iPhone and for Android below). Your settings, the replays and the play log always stay on the device. You can clear the play log or reset your progress in Settings → Account.

No ads, analytics or tracking

Gyrolith shows no ads and contains no analytics or advertising code of ours. It doesn't track you across apps or websites, and it doesn't share any information with data brokers or anyone else. (The only analytics are Google's own, inside Google Play Games on Android, described below.)

Motion sensors

The game reads your device's motion sensors to steer the flyer while you play. The replays of your best runs keep the steering this produced, so they can be watched again. Like everything else, they stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.

Children

The game itself collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The optional services of each platform (backup, purchases, and Game Center or Google Play Games) are run by Apple and Google, as described in the two sections below.

On iPhone (App Store)

Progress backup (iCloud)

If iCloud is on for Gyrolith, your progress (levels completed, stars, best scores and times, relics found, achievements, and your chosen flyer and trail) is also kept in your own iCloud account, stored by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. That's what lets it survive deleting and reinstalling the game, and move to a new iPhone. We never receive it. Your purchase is always checked with the App Store, never taken from iCloud. Turning off iCloud for Gyrolith (in your iPhone's Settings → your name → iCloud) keeps everything on the iPhone only; deleting the app then deletes it. Resetting your progress in the game also clears the iCloud copy on all your devices.

In-app purchase (Apple)

The first chapter is free. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks the rest of the game. Purchases, restores and refunds are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms. We receive no payment details: no card numbers, names, addresses or Apple Account information. The game only asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns the unlock, and remembers the answer on your device so the game plays offline.

Game Center (optional)

Game Center is run by Apple, under Apple's privacy policy. If you're signed in, Gyrolith sends your best scores and achievements to Game Center for its rankings and achievements. The game shows your Game Center name in Settings on your device; we don't receive or store your Game Center identity or contacts. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone's Settings at any time, and the game keeps working fully without it.

On Android (Google Play)

Progress backup (Play Games and Android backup)

If you're signed in to Google Play Games, your progress (levels completed, stars, best scores and times, relics found, achievements, and your chosen flyer and trail) is also kept as a Play Games saved game in your own Google Account, stored by Google under Google's privacy policy. That's what lets it survive deleting and reinstalling the game, and move to a new phone. We never receive it. Your purchase is always checked with Google Play, never taken from a saved game. You can see and delete Gyrolith's saved game in the Play Games app. Resetting your progress in the game also clears the saved game on all your devices.

If Android backup is on for your phone, Android also keeps a copy of your progress (including your on-device best runs without their replays) in your Google Account, about once a day. It's your phone's own backup service; we never receive it either. Turning off backup in your phone's settings (Google → Backup) and not signing in to Play Games keeps everything on the phone only; deleting the app then deletes it.

In-app purchase (Google Play)

The first chapter is free. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks the rest of the game. Purchases, restores and refunds are processed entirely by Google through Google Play, under Google's terms. We receive no payment details: no card numbers, names, addresses or Google Account information. The game only asks Google Play whether your Google Account owns the unlock, confirms the purchase with Google Play as it requires, and remembers the answer on your device so the game plays offline.

Google Play Games (optional)

Google Play Games is run by Google, under Google's privacy policy. If you're signed in, Gyrolith sends your best scores and achievements to Play Games for its leaderboards and achievements. Google's Play Games software in the game also handles your Play Games identity (gamertag and avatar) and collects its own usage and diagnostic data for Google. The game shows your Play Games name in Settings on your device; we don't receive or store your identity. You can manage or delete your Play Games profile in the Play Games app, and the game keeps working fully without it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
