VEXIL privacy policy

The short version

VEXIL collects no data. The game has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the game leaves your device.

What the game stores on your device

Your progress (which levels you have cleared, your best results, side objectives, daily puzzles and the banner colours you chose) and your settings are saved only on your device, in the game's own storage. Replays you export as GIFs are saved to the game's own folder on your device and go nowhere unless you share them. If you buy the Full Campaign unlock, a record that you own it is kept on your device too (on iPhone, in the iOS keychain, so it survives a reinstall). Deleting the app deletes the progress and settings; a purchase can always be restored from the store.

Purchases

The one-time Full Campaign unlock is sold through Apple's App Store on iPhone and through Google Play on Android. The store handles payment and keeps the receipt; we never see your name, card or address. The game asks the store whether you own the unlock and nothing else. Apple's or Google's own privacy policy applies to the purchase.

What we do not do

• No personal information is collected, stored or shared.
• No analytics or crash-reporting services are built into the game.
• No advertising networks, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites.
• No network connection is needed to play; the game works offline. The store is contacted only to buy or restore the unlock.
• No data is sold, because there is none.

Children

VEXIL is a puzzle game suitable for all ages. Because it collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.

Test builds

If you install a test build through Apple TestFlight or Google Play testing, Apple or Google may collect crash logs and basic device information under their own terms and send summaries to us. We use those only to fix bugs. The released game contains no crash reporting of its own.

Changes

If the game ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so first, with the date above updated, and the store listings' privacy details will change to match.
